Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that 16 individuals have died due to the prevailing heatwave conditions across the state this summer. The deaths were reported from seven districts, with Jayashankar Bhupalpally recording the highest number. The government will provide an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh to the families of each deceased.
