Telangana sold over 5,200 alcohol bottles every minute between April and July. This period saw approximately 3.5 crore cases of beer and IMFL sold. Total sales value reached nearly Rs 14,668 crore during these four months. Unsold liquor cases in depots incur ground rent and excise duty charges. Companies seek relief from levies on damaged and short-supplied stock.
