You can now customise your Instagram Reels feed:Meta launches ‘Your Algorithm’ AI tool to give you more control over your interests on Reels

Meta has introduced a new feature called “Your Algorithm” on Instagram to make the Reels feed more tailored to individual users. The feature has been rolled out in the US for now and is expected to reach other countries soon. With this update, users get more visibility and control over how their Reels feed works. Powered by AI, the feature lets people see which topics Instagram’s algorithm is recommending to them. Users can also manually add or remove topics based on their interests, allowing the feed to adapt as their preferences change. According to Meta, this will lead to more accurate and personalised recommendations over time.
Earlier, Instagram only offered limited controls such as “Not Interested” or “Snooze”, but the new feature expands those options by putting more control directly in users’ hands. Also read: What ‘5201314’ mean, India’s most-searched terms on Google in 2025?

Explore feature coming next Instagram says this is just the beginning. In the coming months, ‘Your Algorithm’ will extend beyond Reels to be available in the Explore tab and other sections of the app. A similar plan is in place for the Threads app.
The company’s target is that in the coming time, users will have the full right to watch content according to their preference, and not the content that Instagram shows them.
