Tech company Xiaomi has launched its new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 Ultra in its home market China. The phone has been introduced with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 200-megapixel camera, and 6800mAh battery. The phone has been introduced in three storage variants. Its starting price is 6999 Yuan (approx. ₹89,450). The Leica Edition is priced at around 1 lakh rupees. The phone will be available in four color options – Black, White, Cool Purple, and Starry Sky Green. The company recently launched Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and Pro Max models in China. Xiaomi is preparing to launch all models of the 17 series in India in 2026. The company showcased the 17, 17 Pro, and Pro Max models at an event held in Delhi. Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Specifications Camera: The Xiaomi 17 Ultra uses Leica lenses for photography. A triple camera setup is provided on the back panel of the mobile. It includes a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 1050L main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200-megapixel 3.2-4.3x periscope telephoto lens. 8K videos can be recorded with the phone. Additionally, the phone will feature a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Display: The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2608 x 1200 pixels. Built on an M10 OLED panel, this screen operates at a 120Hz refresh rate. Its PWM dimming is 1920 Hz and peak brightness is 3500 nits. The company has also equipped the phone screen with Dolby Vision and DC dimming. The mobile supports an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and the screen is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0. Performance: Xiaomi 17 Ultra runs on Xiaomi Hyper OS 3.0, which is based on Android 16. For performance, the smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 octa-core processor, built on 3nm fabrication, which can run at a clock speed of up to 4.6GHz. For AI capabilities, it features a Hexagon NPU, and for improved network connectivity, an X85 5G modem RF system has been integrated. For graphics, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports Adreno 840 GPU. Xiaomi has incorporated a 3D Dual Channel IceLoop System in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which provides 50% better thermal cooling compared to the previous generation. Furthermore, this phone can connect to and control Apple iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Battery: The phone is equipped with a 6800mAh battery for power backup. For charging, it features 90W fast charging technology and 50W wireless charging technology. The smartphone will also feature reverse wireless charging. Other Features: Users will also find tools like an infrared sensor, 4 microphones, and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers in the phone. For connectivity, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra 5G smartphone supports advanced features like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, along with NFC and satellite communication.
