The company stated that the incorrect pricing displayed on Starlink’s India website was due to a glitch. In fact, on Monday, plans for Starlink’s service were visible on the company’s website. These included a monthly plan of ₹8,600 and hardware kit pricing of ₹34,000.

But the company immediately fixed it. SpaceX Vice President Lauren Dreyer shared a post on X, stating: The Starlink India website is not live yet. Pricing has not been announced, and we are not currently taking any orders from Indian customers. This was dummy test data that accidentally appeared on the website. The actual pricing will be different. This error was due to a configuration glitch, which was fixed shortly.’ What is Starlink’s plan in India? Starlink is preparing to bring high-speed satellite internet to India, especially in areas where terrestrial broadband is weak. The company’s focus is on plug-and-play installation, over 99.9% uptime, extreme weather resistance, and unlimited data caps. LoI signed with Maharashtra Government The Maharashtra Government recently signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Starlink. This deal took place in Mumbai in the presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis and IT Minister Ashish Shelar.
Under the LoI, services will be deployed in remote districts like Gadchiroli, Nandurbar, Dharashiv, and Washim. This will be for government institutions, rural communities, and public infrastructure. CM Fadnavis had said: It was wonderful to welcome Starlink’s Vice President Lauren Dreyer in Mumbai. Maharashtra is the first state to formally partner with Starlink. Elon Musk’s company is the world’s largest ICT company, possessing the most communication satellites. Starlink’s global expansion Starlink is a SpaceX project that provides global internet coverage through thousands of satellites. Its entry into India had been delayed for a long time, but now approvals seem to be clearing.
