Poco C85 5G smartphone launched in India:Equipped with 6.9-inch 120Hz display and 6,000mAh battery; price starts from ₹12,499

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has launched its new budget smartphone C85 5G in India. This latest addition to the C series comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ display and a 6000mAh battery. The company claims that it will provide up to 106 hours of music playback. The phone has been launched in the market with three color options: Mystic Purple, Spring Green, and Power Black. The sale of Poco C85 5G will begin on December 16 at 12 PM on Flipkart. The company is offering a ₹1,000 discount on HDFC, ICICI, or SBI cards as an introductory offer. Variant and Price C85 5G: Display and design The Poco C85 5G features a large 6.9-inch HD+ screen, which comes with 720×1600 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness goes up to 810 nits. The phone is 7.9mm thin and weighs 211 grams. It has a quad-curved design on the back. The phone’s IP64 rating protects it from dust and splashes of rain. There is a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. C85 5G: Processor and storage The C85 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process. This processor is powerful and battery-efficient. Its AnTuTu score is over 450,000. The phone comes with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, which opens apps and games quickly. It can be expanded up to 1TB with a micro SD card. The dual SIM + dedicated SD card slot allows for three things to run simultaneously. C85 5G: Battery and Charging The C85’s large 6000mAh battery can last for more than 2 days with normal use. The company claims that it will provide up to 106 hours of music playback. The phone features 33W fast charging. The phone can charge 50% in just 28 minutes. The phone also has 10W reverse wired charging. C85 5G: Camera and software The smartphone features a dual camera setup at the back. It includes a 50MP main sensor (f/1.8) + QVGA secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera that can record videos at 1080p 30fps. The phone’s software runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.2. Poco has promised that the phone will receive 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patch updates. Connectivity and other features The smartphone’s connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, a 3.5mm jack, and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, the phone features ambient light, proximity, E-compass, and accelerometer sensors.
