Tech company Nothing has launched the Community Edition of Phone (3a). Only 1000 units of the special edition smartphone have been made. It will be sold in India for a price of ₹28,999. Its sale will begin on December 13, 2025, at a special drop event in Bengaluru. Retro back design inspired by 90s games Its biggest feature is the community-driven design, created with user creativity. It will be available in a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which is not present in the regular model. The retro back design is inspired by 90s games, which comes with a futuristic Glyph Interface. The custom lock-screen clock provides a clutter-free UI, while the ‘Dice’ accessory adds a historical touch. Blue-purple wallpapers enhance the fun with Easter eggs. All these together make the phone personal and collectible, which can be a good choice for creative users. Phone designed under the Community Edition project After the launch of Phone (3a) in early 2025, Nothing started the ‘Community Edition Project’. It invited creators from around the world to provide hardware, software, accessories, and marketing ideas. Over 700 entries were received, and four winners were selected. These winners together gave the phone a new look.
