America’s major electric vehicle (EV) company Tesla is going to make its official entry into India. On November 27, India’s first Tesla Experience and Service Center will be inaugurated at Orchid Business Park in Sector-48, Gurugram.
This center will not just be a showroom, but a full-service hub offering complete facilities including sales, delivery, consultation, maintenance, repair, and even a supercharging station. Tesla has worked day and night for the past 6 months to prepare this center. Cars for the launch of Model Y have already arrived at this center, which spans approximately 25,000 square feet. Initially, only this model will be available to Indian customers. Regarding the price, the starting price of Model Y has been set at ₹59 lakh. The Head of Tesla India and several senior officials will be present at the center’s inauguration ceremony. The company has also sent invitations to some selected customers. The most special thing is that on the very first day, some customers with bookings will also be given delivery of their cars.

Tesla claims that this center will provide a world-class experience, where customers will be able to drive cars in virtual reality, choose customisation, and take a test drive on the same day. The service bay has been equipped with 12 lifts and modern diagnostic equipment. Tesla’s mobile service vans will also be deployed in Gurugram-Delhi NCR. The biggest discussion is about superchargers. Although charging stations will not open in the first phase, the company has planned to install more than 20 superchargers on the Gurugram, Delhi, and Mumbai highways by the first quarter of 2026. This will help the company expand its operations in India and achieve its target of selling 10,000 vehicles by 2026. After this, Tesla is also planning to open similar centers in Mumbai (Bandra-Khar), Bengaluru (Indiranagar), and New Delhi (Aerocity), because electric vehicles also sell well in these places.
