India’s first private rocket is ready:PM Modi to unveil today; will also inaugurate Skyroot company’s new campus

PM Modi is set to unveil India’s first private orbital rocket, Vikram-I, today at 11 AM. This rocket has been built by the private space company Skyroot Aerospace. Along with this, the PM will also inaugurate the company’s new Infinity Campus. In this campus, the design, development, integration, and testing of several launch vehicles will be carried out. The campus is located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The company’s head office is also here. The Prime Minister will join the event via video conferencing. Skyroot Aerospace was founded in 2018 by Pawan Chandana and Bharat Dhaka. Both are IIT pass-outs and former ISRO scientists. The company had previously launched the Vikram-S rocket in 2022, which was a sub-orbital rocket, meaning it went up 100 km but did not enter Earth’s orbit.
