Hidma’s secret surrender plan: Letter to journalist points to failed last-minute bid; he later realised there’s ‘no way out’

Top Maoist Madvi Hidma was killed in an encounter in Andhra Pradesh’s Marudumilli forests after his surrender plan was reportedly opposed by his comrades in Telangana. Hidma had dropped hints about surrendering and even sought help from a journalist for negotiations with the government.
