Meta is testing a new subscription model on its social media platform Instagram. Its name is ‘Instagram Plus’. This will be a paid service from Meta, in which users will get some new and exclusive features, especially those related to their Instagram Stories. Currently, this new feature is being tested in countries like Mexico, Japan, and the Philippines. Its rollout is expected soon. View Stories for more than 24 hours, Close Friends list will increase – View Stories without your name appearing Now, when you view someone’s story, your name will not be visible to the other person. More Close Friends Lists Until now, only one Close Friends list could be created. Now, you will be able to show stories to different audiences by creating different groups. How many times a story has been viewed will also be visible Not just views, but Instagram will also provide you with data on how many times someone re-watched your story. Story will last longer than 24 hours Currently, the story time is 24 hours. Now, an option to increase story visibility will be available, allowing it to remain active for more than 24 hours. Superlikes and Search Feature Users will be able to send animated Superlikes on stories with this new update. An option to search for people in the viewer list will also be available. How much could it cost? This feature could be quite similar to Snapchat’s Snapchat Plus, although the company has not yet officially shared its full details or global launch date.
