According to DownDetector, on Tuesday evening, users in many countries including India, USA, UK and Canada are facing difficulties accessing both app and desktop versions. According to DownDetector, in the US around 8 PM Indian time, more than 27,015 users reported service disruption. These were people who officially reported the outage on the website, while the actual number of affected users could be much higher. 59% people faced problems viewing posts According to DownDetector, X users worldwide are complaining that they can neither view new posts nor make any posts. In America, 59% users are unable to view posts. Meanwhile, 25% people are having trouble using the website and about 16% reported having issues with web connection.

Meanwhile, X’s downtime is affecting other countries as well. Around 7,000 users in Britain and more than 2,700 users in Canada reported not being able to access the platform. Issues in both app and desktop versions Users reported that they are unable to use the app on their smartphones or access X through browsers on their computers. Some users reported that their old tweets are disappearing, while others are having trouble loading profiles. During this time, hashtags like ‘X Down’ and ‘Twitter Down’ started trending on other social media platforms. Cause of outage yet to be revealed Currently it is not clear whether this technical glitch occurred due to a server issue or if a major update is the cause. Several such outages have been observed since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform.
